For people living with severe illness in the New York City metropolitan area, God’s Love We Deliver provides nutrition therapy, and cooks and home delivers medically tailored meals. We are a non-sectarian organization. All of our services are provided free to clients and full of love.

About the Role

God’s Love We Deliver uses a variety of applications to manage our varied work, encompassing functions such as customer service, nutrition counseling, culinary design and production, order fulfillment, HR, and business development. The Business Analyst helps ensure that technology applications serve the needs of our stakeholders, primarily employees but in some cases volunteers and clients. This is an exciting time to join God’s Love, as we’re currently upgrading many existing systems to take advantage of new industry knowledge and best-in-class tools.

As the Business Analyst, you’ll collaborate with various teams to understand business needs and identify how technology can meet those needs through the design and implementation of efficient processes and tools. You’ll work with functional leads and stakeholders to understand a business problem, then strategize on a problem-solving approach, collaborate on requirement definitions, and partner with internal and external implementation teams to architect solutions. You’ll also get to know our wide data set, producing and advising on reporting so that we continue to have the information we need to run effective, high-impact programming.

Position Objectives and Expectations

The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Technology development

  • Build an understanding of core business processes and how changes to the technology can support and improve the process for users.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings to understand end-to-end complex business processes and data flows.
  • Identify required functionality along with opportunities to improve processes and user experience.
  • Elicit and document business and system requirements including functional requirements and data and process flow diagrams.
  • Produce wireframes as needed.
  • Partner with implementation resources, both internal and external, to ensure requirements are implemented per business requirements.
  • Develop and execute test plans.
  • Conduct user training sessions and create user training documentation.

Performance analysis

  • Participate in the development of the vision for data and analytics architecture and workflow across services and product lines.
  • Measure how key services are performing, so that we continue to meet user needs in a cost-effective and efficient way.
  • Install any key performance indicators (KPIs) that will help us measure and improve performance, then follow a process of learning, synthesis, and iteration to make changes.

 In addition, the right candidate meets the following requirements:   

  • 2+ years’ experience in product or project management, business systems implementation, or data architecture
  • Excellent relationship-building and communications skills
  • Proven analytical skills
  • Creative and flexible in problem-solving and envisioning solutions
  • A learner and experimenter, passionate about the ability of technology to support our mission
  • Demonstrated experience building efficient processes and systems that scale well
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize many urgent tasks; proven experience working and delivering on multiple projects at once
