About the Role

We seek a Temporary Event and Fulfillment Specialist to join our Events Department.  This is a full-time temporary opportunity that will begin in June 2021 and continue through  January 31 2022.  This role will require work onsite at God’s Love We Deliver.

The Temporary Event and Fulfillment (“EF”) Specialist supports the Events team on events such as the CowParade, Golden Heart Awards and partner events.  The EF Specialist has primary responsibility for  the God’s Love catalog fulfillment process: high volume seasonal orders of holiday cards, cookies, brownies and other gift items. This individual is also responsible for receiving and tracking large volumes of individual and corporate orders and determining the order in which to process them based on deadlines, preparation time and packaging.  In addition, the EF Specialist will assist with tracking event donations and contribution information, as well as with other administrative tasks related to our Fall events.  If you’re looking to join a team of dedicated professionals making an impact across the NY metro area, this is the place for you!

Position Objectives and Expectations

  • Coordinate the production needs of the CowParade that includes the coordination of 75 artists, sponsorship needs and fulfillment, media relations, and assisting with the planning and execution of the launch party and closing auction. Work closely with the Director of Events and the David Stark Design team on all other elements of the event.
  • Support the Events team with our signature annual event, the Golden Heart Awards Dinner, including but not limited to support with tracking sales, guest check in, giftbag production, and other tasks assigned by the Direct of Events.
  • Assist with data entry and outreach for the Race to Deliver and the Golden Heart Awards, two of our signature events.


  • Coordinate the fulfillment process of the God’s Love catalog gifts during the holiday season, review orders, determine appropriate scheduling of process, package and prepare items for delivery, and ensure timely shipping
  • Liaise with the Kitchen staff to confirm inventory and special order needs to fulfill orders on time.

This role may also include some or all of the following responsibilities:

  • Assist with support of staff engagement activities
  • Assist the Development Department with miscellaneous holiday-related fulfillment and administrative tasks.

In addition, you meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university
  • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience (g., work in fulfillment, mail order programs, event planning, special events) highly desirable
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Thrive in a fast-paced work environment, and work with a sense of urgency without sacrificing quality
  • Able to use good judgment and solve problems quickly, appropriately and effectively
  • Able to work independently with minimal direct supervision
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
