About Us
God’s Love We Deliver, a nonsectarian organization, is the New York metropolitan area’s leading provider of life-sustaining meals and nutrition counseling for people living with severe illnesses. Begun as an HIV/AIDS service organization, today God’s Love provides for people living with more than 200 individual diagnoses. God’s Love cooks and home delivers the specific, nutritious meals a client’s severe illness and treatment so urgently require. Meals are individually tailored for each client by one of our Registered Dietitian Nutritionists, and clients have access to unlimited nutrition counseling. God’s Love supports families by providing meals for the children and senior caregivers of our clients. All of our services are provided free of charge to clients.
About the Role:
The Manager of Fulfillment oversees the packaging and distribution of over 4 million client meals annually, ensuring that meal components are correctly packaged to meet clients’ specific nutritional needs. The Manager of Fulfillment is responsible for the oversight of quality and standards, food safety protocols, and inventory management. The Manager directly manages a staff team of 10, and also has oversight of the approximately 75 volunteers who support the pack-out of client meals. The Manager of Fulfillment will oversee operations across two buildings in New York City and must be flexible and available to travel frequently between locations.

- This is a Full-Time exempt position, paying $80,000 – $90,000 annually.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily meal kit assembly, ensuring accurate and timely packaging of meal components, including entrées, soups, breads, and desserts.
- Develop and enforce departmental standards to meet monthly menu cycles.
- Manage regular quality metrics reporting and address any discrepancies.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, rotating excess components for future use.
- Develop and implement inventory management strategies with the Senior Director of Culinary Operations.
- Ensure adherence to food safety requirements in collaboration with the Nutrition Department.
- Maintain accurate written procedures for inventory control and food safety.
- Optimize shipping and logistics processes to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
- Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with shipping carriers and third-party logistics providers.
- Monitor and analyze shipping performance and costs, identifying opportunities for improvement
- Train, motivate, and supervise Fulfillment staff. Coordinate schedules, including time off, to ensure adequate staffing.
- Ensure proper training and oversight of all Fulfillment volunteers.
- Manage special seasonal projects and emergency delivery packages.
- Cross-train team members to support professional development and ensure coverage.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the Fulfillment area.
- Oversee operations across two buildings, coordinating efforts to maintain efficiency and consistency.
- Frequently travel between Fulfillment locations in New York City to ensure seamless operations and address any issues.

In addition, the right candidate meets the following requirements:
- Minimum of eight years of progressively responsible experience in a Fulfillment/Warehouse role. Food industry experience preferred
- Minimum of three years of experience directly managing staff.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience with identifying and creating processes and writing procedures.
- Ability to manage complex logistics and maintain high standards of quality.
- Expertise in using MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including patience and understanding when working with staff and volunteers.
- Ability to work on designated holidays, including Thanksgiving Day.
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to work in cold (refrigerated) environments for extended periods.
- Flexibility to travel between locations frequently.
