About God’s Love We Deliver

For people living with severe illness in the New York City metropolitan area, God’s Love We Deliver provides nutrition therapy, and cooks and home delivers medically tailored meals. We are a non-sectarian organization. All of our services are provided free to clients and full of love.

About the Role

The Manager of Research & Evaluation will lead the internal and external research and evaluation function at God’s Love We Deliver. The position reports to the Director of Policy & Planning and is a key player in our work on healthcare innovations. The goal of our agency research is to demonstrate the efficacy of our medically tailored meal intervention while adding to the evidence base for systems change. There is both a path-setting and quality improvement aspect to this goal.

God’s Love partners with providers, insurance plans and other healthcare entities on projects that increase access to our life-saving meals. The Manager of Research and Evaluation provides leadership and oversight of the evaluation process in each contract or pilot to ensure that we are collecting the data we need, that we are meeting all HIPAA and accountability requirements, and that we can participate in analyses as appropriate. The Manager also works directly with plans and hospitals to ensure that they are complying with their contractual commitments to evaluation.

The Manager will act on behalf of God’s Love in research study design negotiations with partners to ensure that the evaluation is designed well. The role is responsible for isolating the intervention populations in our proprietary data system and tracking enrollment and fulfillment of our evaluation deliverables for external projects. The Manager will also serve as a liaison with the evaluation teams at the health plans and hospitals throughout the evaluation process, all the way through to dissemination and potential publication.

Key project activities for this role include managing all evaluation aspects of our healthcare partnerships. The role will weigh in on data and contract tracking in our proprietary data system and set up reporting criteria for each project. The Manager of Research and Evaluation will also set up and run project management meetings with key internal and external staff throughout the timeline for each project. The position will also cultivate new relationships with outside researchers to lend rigor to our projects internally and externally.
