About God’s Love We Deliver

For people living with severe illness in the New York City metropolitan area, God’s Love We Deliver provides nutrition therapy, and cooks and home delivers medically tailored meals. We are a non-sectarian organization. All of our services are provided free to clients and full of love.

About the Role

  • Salary: $18.50/hr plus eligibility for an annual performance-based increase

Our Meal Packaging Department sorts and packages meal components to prepare for delivery to our clients, and the Pack-Out Coordinator fills an essential role in helping to organize and oversee activities to ensure the safe distribution and packaging of meal components.  The Pack-Out Coordinator works closely with other colleagues in the Department, and also with the many volunteers who assist with assembling meal packages for delivery

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Organizes and coordinates meal distribution and kitting, as directed by department management.
  • Monitors packing, in compliance with established food safety standards.
  • Inspects products prior to packing and places unsafe or damaged products aside for later disposal or return to the kitchen.
  • Regularly inventories frozen/chilled product to maintain accurate and up to date information to project needs and analyze historical trends.
  • Organizes delivery area and frozen product for frozen/chilled kitting; ensures safety and cleanliness of delivery kitting areas and storage materials.
  • Stages product and ensures all product is clearly marked and labeled.
  • Provides guidance to kitting volunteers.
  • Assists in developing and maintaining new systems for monitoring and coordinating the inventory and distribution of frozen/chilled meals.
  • Perform relevant QA checks as directed.
  • Record and quantify errors.
  • Work with MP team to repack bags as needed
  • Complete basic Ms Excel reporting.

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Ability to tolerate extreme temperatures
  • Ability to stand for several hours and lift up to 75 pounds unassisted
  • Experience with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
