About Us

God’s Love We Deliver, a nonsectarian organization, is the New York metropolitan area’s leading provider of life-sustaining meals and nutrition counseling for people living with severe illnesses. Begun as an HIV/AIDS service organization, today God’s Love provides for people living with more than 200 individual diagnoses. God’s Love cooks and home delivers the specific, nutritious meals a client’s severe illness and treatment so urgently require. Meals are individually tailored for each client by one of our Registered Dietitian Nutritionists, and clients have access to unlimited nutrition counseling. God’s Love supports families by providing meals for the children and senior caregivers of our clients. All of our services are provided free of charge to clients.

About the Role:

 The Seasonal Operations Project Coordinator helps support internal projects during our remarkably busy Fall/Winter holiday season, which includes assisting with Thanksgiving, Winter Shelf-Stable meal distribution and Winter Feast initiatives. The Seasonal Operations Project Coordinator also helps support internal God’s Love initiatives events and meetings. This position is a full-time temporary position ending on January 31, 2025.

  • This is a Full-Time non-exempt position, paying $24.00 hourly.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Operations Project Manager and internal departments including Volunteer Services, Fulfillment and Delivery to support the execution of client engagement projects including but not limited to Thanksgiving (assembly of client gift totes, preparations for meal distribution centers, coordinate gratitude gifts, etc.), Winter shelf-stable (client meal bag distribution, flyers, etc.), Winter Feast (assembly of client gifts, flyers, etc.), and in advance of Valentine’s Day (assembly of client gifts, flyers, etc.).
  • Assist Operations Project Manager with coordinating, preparing and maintaining 5th floor event space for product donations, product shipments from various vendors, staging and storage of items for Thanksgiving Client Gift Totes, Winter Feast client gifts and in advance of Valentine’s Day client gifts.
  • Assist Operations Project Manager in setting up products, supplies, tables, crates, etc., for multiple client gift tote assembly volunteer shifts.
  • Attend, participate in and support preparing for all relevant planning meetings, run of show preparations and potential partner site visits.
  • Prepare facility service requests for facilities and office manager support to efficiently conduct functions in a timely manner.
  • Support internal departments to meet agency requirements for timely execution of actions supporting our mission.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 In addition, you meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • At least 1 year of experience in the special events field or coordinating high impact events. Experience with food and/or non-profit is a plus.
  • Ability to work within a flexible schedule, sometimes working evenings, weekends, and Thanksgiving Day, as necessary.
  • Ability to integrate into teams smoothly and understand requirements quickly.
  • Proficiency in project management software tools (e.g., Monday)
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Demonstrate a high level of reliability, organization, and follow-through.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, intercultural, and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to frequently lift, move, up to 50 pounds, as well as stand for extended periods of time while performing duties for this position.
