The Food Network New York City Wine & Food Festival presented is NYC’s largest wine and food festival raising funds to support New Yorkers affected by severe illness and food poverty. NYCWFF features close to 80 events throughout four days attracting over 50,000 consumers and over 500 world-renowned chefs, culinary personalities, winemakers, spirits producers, trade, and industry professionals.

God’s Love We Deliver, a nonsectarian organization, is the New York metropolitan area’s leading provider of life-sustaining meals and nutrition counseling for people living with severe illnesses. Begun as an HIV/AIDS service organization, today God’s Love provides for people living with more than 200 individual diagnoses. God’s Love cooks and home delivers the specific, nutritious meals a client’s severe illness and treatment so urgently require. Meals are individually tailored for each client by one of our Registered Dietitians, and all clients have access to unlimited nutrition counseling. God’s Love supports families by providing meals for the children and senior caregivers of its clients. All of the agency’s services are provided free of charge.

About the Role:

The Sponsorship Associate – New York City Wine & Food Festival will develop and support day-to-day management of sponsorship operations including all sponsorship-related contractors and contracts, database management and oversight, and support all of sponsor activation execution. This role will support seasonal staff as applicable.

  • This is a hybrid position allowing for some remote work and requiring regular in-office workdays.  
  • This is a Full-Time exempt position, paying $65,000 – $70,000 annually.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee sponsor contract execution process via redlines and liaising with God’s Love team, including contract drafts through execution.
  • Support Sponsor Managers as they guide each sponsor through Festival life cycle, from contract execution through onsite activation.
  • Prepare agendas and take notes on bi-weekly Sponsorship team calls and oversee calendar for Festival Sponsorship portfolio and operations.
  • Develop optimal data management tools for the Sponsorship Team, including but not limited to tracking sponsor pitches, contract movement, contract data, sponsors per event and activation details, and team assignments through Festival AirTable.
  • Manage upkeep and content flow of Sponsor Manager and Sponsor information portals.
  • Work in tandem with the marketing team to assure all sponsor marketing assets are fulfilled.
  • Support Sponsorship team members and collaborate cross-functionally with the Production and Marketing teams, as well as with the Associate Director, Finance.
  • Sponsor activation management of up to eight sponsors, acting as a day-to-day contact to assure contracted benefits are fulfilled.
  • Provide sales support as needed, supporting the wider sponsorship team in reaching sponsorship revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with Associate Director, Finance, and Festival Director, on all sponsorship related finance needs.
  • Approve all Festival wide sponsor signage needs, proofing signage, and communicating edits and approvals to editors.
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends in food, large scale festivals and events.

You have an interest in the NYC culinary world and a passion for relationship development, brand activation and sponsorship fulfillment:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related field – event management, nonprofit management, hospitality and tourism, marketing
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a fast-paced, large-scale events role.
  • Experience with sponsor activation management, account management, large scale events with multiple sponsorship touchpoints.
  • Effective management skills in working across several teams and oversight of seasonal contractors.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Superior attention to detail.
  • Operates effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Demonstrates superior time management skills with the ability to work effectively under, and consistently meet, deadlines, and adapt priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be meticulous with data input.
  • A team player committed to constant improvement and creative approach to working in new situations.
