The Food Network & Cooking Channel New York City Wine & Food Festival presented by Capital One (“NYCWFF”) is NYC’s largest wine and food festival raising funds to support New Yorkers affected by severe illness and food poverty. NYCWFF features close to 80 events throughout four days attracting over 50,000 consumers and over 500 world-renowned chefs, culinary personalities, winemakers, spirits producers, trade and industry professionals.

One hundred percent of the Festival’s net proceeds benefit two hunger relief organizations – God’s Love We Deliver and Food Bank for New York City.

God’s Love We Deliver, a nonsectarian organization, is the New York metropolitan area’s leading provider of life-sustaining meals and nutrition counseling for people living with severe illnesses. Begun as an HIV/AIDS service organization, today God’s Love provides for people living with more than 200 individual diagnoses. God’s Love cooks and home delivers the specific, nutritious meals a client’s severe illness and treatment so urgently require. Meals are individually tailored for each client by one of our Registered Dietitians, and all clients have access to unlimited nutrition counseling. God’s Love supports families by providing meals for the children and senior caregivers of its clients. All of the agency’s services are provided free of charge.

About the Role

The Sponsorship Associate will support the Manager, Sponsorship & Business Development and the Sponsorship & Business Development Director for the Festival with achieving superior event quality, marketing performance, goal attainment and positive community standing. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide sponsorship support to ensure that the festival runs smoothly, with a focus on revenue data management and tracking, exhibitor sales responsibilities, and activation fulfillment of sponsorship and exhibitor benefits.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide sales support including but not limited to drafting proposals and contracts, sales decks/assets, company research and other ad hoc tasks to prepare for Festival sponsorship sales period
  • Responsible for facilitating data entry into sponsorship tracking document via AirTable (or comparable database platform). Sponsorship tracking document to include data for flow of communication to all Festival departments. Document to include but not limited to Sponsorship Overview (Master Sponsorship List), allocation of dollars, ticketing and credentials, Program of Events with Sponsors, Sponsor Manager assignments, executed sponsors by level, invite lists, recap calendar, etc.
  • Responsible for managing exhibitor program including sales and organic outreach to brands, and facilitate on-site activation details for Festival exhibitors
  • Maintain the Sponsor Management team DropBox, containing vital forms for successful on-site Sponsor execution
  • Create informational packets for sponsors participating at various events
  • Ensure accuracy of website (logos, copy & events) and maintain continuous communication with website manager to make changes, updates, etc.
  • Assist with organizing signage needs, proofing signage and communicating edits and approvals to editors
  • Oversee trafficking of all sponsor agreements routed to partners through HelloSign
  • Create and manage online forms for sponsors, inclusive of product donations for all events and bill back forms
  • Create Sponsor insurance requirements document and collect/review all submitted COI’s from Sponsors
  • Assist on-site during the entire weekend of the Festival which includes liaising with sponsors, assisting in sponsor setup and breakdown, photo documenting of sponsor activations, etc.
  • Assist with the editing and trafficking of a post-festival recap and event photography to be distributed to sponsors
  • Act as a backup to the Manager, Sponsorship & Business Development responsibilities


About You:

You are a highly self-motivated ‘people person’ with a strong desire to support our mission and your colleagues. You thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and can work both autonomously and within a group setting. You have an interest in the NYC culinary world and a passion for networking, sales and relationship development.

In addition, the right candidate meets the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a related field (e.g., event management, nonprofit management, hospitality and tourism, marketing)
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience (e.g., work or internship experience with on-site management of large-scale events; nonprofit development, sponsorship sales, hospitality and tourism sales, event marketing)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint & Excel), Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign & Photoshop)
  • Flexibility and eagerness to learn new platforms/software (e.g., Salesforce, AirTable, ProofHQ )
  • Ability to work autonomously on multiple projects in a deadline-oriented environment
  • Must be extremely detail oriented and meticulous with data input
  • Must be a team player committed to constant improvement and creative approach to working in new situations
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully with competing demands and seasonal long hours of intense work pace
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional internal and external customer service
