About Us
God’s Love We Deliver, a nonsectarian organization, is the New York metropolitan area’s leading provider of life-sustaining meals and nutrition counseling for people living with severe illnesses. Begun as an HIV/AIDS service organization, today God’s Love provides for people living with more than 200 individual diagnoses. God’s Love cooks and home delivers the specific, nutritious meals a client’s severe illness and treatment so urgently require. Meals are individually tailored for each client by one of our Registered Dietitian Nutritionists, and clients have access to unlimited nutrition counseling. God’s Love supports families by providing meals for the children and senior caregivers of our clients. All of our services are provided free of charge to clients.
About the Role:
The Sponsorship Development Manager is responsible for the acquisition of new and existing partners for internal, partnered and signature events to increase event revenue and for sponsorship fulfillment. The Sponsorship Development Manager will manage all sponsorship contracts and all sponsor activation execution.

- This is a hybrid position allowing for some remote work and requiring regular in-office workdays.
- This is a Full-Time exempt position, paying $75,000-$78,000 annually.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Discover new prospective partners and cultivate existing partners to increase event revenue.
- Follow-up on leads from board, leadership, event host(s), and event committee.
- Create event sponsorship decks. Work in tandem with the event manager to build out benefits and sponsorship levels.
- Negotiate sponsorship contracts. Tracks sponsorship pledges including invoicing and follow up to ensure timely receipt.
- Track & accept in-kind donations and provide acknowledgement for the donations.
- Manage sponsorship relationships pre and post event.
- Work with event manager and Marketing & Communications team to ensure all sponsor signage & marketing needs are fulfilled including proofing signage and communicating edits.
- Onsite day of event to be sponsor’s point of contact, and work with events manager on the sponsor activation management and production.
- Track sponsorship performance and records in Blackbaud NXT.
- Other duties may be assigned.
About You:
You are highly self-motivated and empathetic, a ‘people person’ with a strong desire to support our mission and your colleagues. You are a confident and disciplined manager, with reactive critical thinking ability. You thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and can work both autonomously and within a group setting. You have an interest in the New York City culinary world and a passion for relationship development, brand activation and sponsorship fulfillment.
In addition, you meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a related field (e.g., event management, nonprofit management, hospitality and tourism, marketing)
- 3-5 years of relevant experience (sponsor sales, sponsor activation management, account management, large scale events with multiple sponsorship touchpoints)
- At least 2 years of experience in the Special Events field. Experience with Food & Beverage and/or non-profit is a plus.
- Ability to work within a flexible schedule, working on evenings, weekends, and holidays as
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint & Excel), Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign & Photoshop)
- Flexibility and eagerness to learn new platforms/software (e.g. Blackbaud NXT, AirTable, Pageproof)
- Ability to work autonomously on multiple projects in a deadline-oriented environment
- Must be extremely detail oriented and meticulous with data input
- Must be a team player committed to constant improvement and creative approach to working in new situations
- Ability to integrate into teams smoothly and understand requirements quickly.
- Demonstrate a high level of reliability, organization, and follow-through.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal, intercultural, and verbal/written communication skills.
- Must have the ability to frequently lift, move, up to 50 pounds, as well as stand for long periods of time while performing duties for this position.
