The Race to Deliver is one of God's Love We Deliver's largest annual fundraisers. It is a 4 mile run/walk in Central Park, followed by multiple-distance Kids' Races. The race is a symbol of our daily race to ensure that no person ever has to face the unthinkable combination of illness and hunger.
Our friend, Scott, is one of the biggest supporters of the Race to Deliver and a great friend to God's Love. Below, please read about why he runs the Race and why he wants you to join, too!
On Sunday, November 24th, I will be in Central Park with several thousand good friends of God's Love We Deliver, participating in the 20th Annual Race to Deliver. I'm running with my teammates on the Team Gramercy Tavern (who are always proud supporters of the Race), as I do every year. My participation will help fund over 4,500 nutritious and high quality meals God's Love We Deliver cooks and delivers every weekday. All of these meals go to people living with cancer, HIV and other life-altering illnesses; people who are simply too sick to shop or cook for themselves and their families.
Every year I raise my fundraising goal, because the need for the programs and services of God's Love grows every year. I'm hoping you'll join me at the Race itself or support a runner or support a team who will be there!
