About Ivan E. Ortiz
I am a Colombian-American visual artist born and currently based in New York. I spent many years living in Colombia during my early youth and later as a teenager.
Since the late 90’s, I started drawing characters which have been inspired from everyday encounters with humans, nature and the subconscious mind. Throughout the years, I’ve developed them into vibrant, colorful personas, adding layers and textures using watercolors and acrylic paints on paper and canvas.
