About the Role

God’s Love We Deliver has been synonymous with healthcare since our inception.  The Business Development and Community Partnerships Department establishes partnerships and contracts with managed care providers, hospitals and health systems, and community-based organizations. The Business Development (Healthcare) Associate is responsible for supporting the organization’s efforts to manage an increasing number of healthcare and community partnerships that we have established.  The position supports the team’s effort to expand the organization’s visibility regarding the impact that medically tailored home-delivered meals have on healthcare costs and health outcomes. To accomplish these goals, the role provides administrative support for relationship building, outreach, engagement, and collaboration with external partners and works closely with the Policy & Planning, Program, Operations, and Philanthropy teams at God’s Love.

  • This is a hybrid position allowing for 1 remote day  
  • This is a Full-Time exempt position, paying $66,500 annually

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and project support to the Business Development and Community Partnerships Department, including but not limited to: generating reports for healthcare partner agencies, creating spreadsheets for internal analysis, presentation decks, scheduling internal and external meetings, and report minutes of meetings with actionable items and track progress of partnerships to assigned staff.
  • Conduct outreach and engagement with current and potential partners by conducting presentations to managed care organizations, healthcare systems, federally qualified health centers, community-based organizations, community groups and others. Support the cultivation of internal and external relationships.
  • Generate new business opportunities by proactively finding and qualifying leads through targeted outreach to all potential healthcare partners. Support engagement, development, research, cultivation, and maintenance of our healthcare and community-based partnerships to facilitate achieving and exceeding annual revenue objectives.
  • Support Manager of Business Development and Community Partnerships by following up with executing MOUs or linkage agreements with community-based organizations, and communicating with customers/partners around reports, enrollments, timelines and deadlines.
  • Work closely with the Vice President of Business Development to secure meetings, seamlessly transition relationships when necessary, and track progress of partnerships. Also schedules meetings for/with relevant partners and various Program team members.
  • Design and maintain reporting workflows and dashboards that ensure all stakeholders have actionable, up-to-date views of both current and potential partnership opportunities.
  • Keep records of outreach and marketing activities and prepare database and project reports both internally and externally. Responsible for tracking activities which includes entering all relevant partner/contact details into NXT/Raiser’s Edge Database.
  • Work with Communications team members to create collateral materials, announcements, blog posts and press releases for contracted partnerships.
  • Manage routine partner communications, including phone and e-mail inquiries, and other correspondence as needed.
  • Initiate projects with department leadership to generate leads, build brand awareness and enroll new members. Develop plans and executes health fairs and presentations to key community organizations.
  • Maintain awareness of the field and competitor climate. Provide feedback and highlight opportunities, potential problems, or issues to management.
  • Participate in advocacy activities that promote funding and policies that support the integration of medically tailored meals into healthcare.
  • Support the Manger of Business Development and Community Partnerships work with the Development Team to identify and cultivate new funding opportunities for new and existing programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

In addition, you meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of fast-paced healthcare or nonprofit experience, ideally with and administrative and/or community engagement focus
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Must be able to operate effectively as part of a team and independently
  • Strong project management, interpersonal, and written and oral communication skills required
  • Superior time management skills with the ability to work effectively under deadlines
  • Strategic mindset with an ability to think and focus on both the near- and long-term
  • Available evenings and weekends for outreach and engagement events as needed
  • Microsoft Office proficiency is a must
  • Raiser’s Edge NXT or Salseforce experience a plus
