The Lead Kitchen Steward is responsible for ensuring kitchen cleanliness, maintaining kitchen organization, and providing support and guidance to the Kitchen Porter team. The individual in this role will be well-versed in food safety, health code and sanitation regulations, a team player with good customer service and communication skills.

Since the beginning of the COVID pandemic, God’s Love We Deliver has followed government and public health protocols to ensure the health and safety of our staff, volunteers, and others who come to our offices. Hand sanitizer and masks are available throughout the God’s Love facility. We practice appropriate social distancing in our work stations. And all employees planning to work from the office on a given day answer questions about their health before they come to our worksite. Candidates who come on site for their interviews are similarly asked to pre-certify in these areas before they enter our offices.

The Kitchen Assistant assists Cooks and Chefs with food preparation, cooking and packaging of food for the Meal Program. The Kitchen Assistant follows sanitation and safety protocols established for the kitchen at all times.
We seek a Seasonal (Temporary) Fulfillment and Event Specialist to join our Events Department. This is a full-time seasonal opportunity that will begin in August and continue through early January 2023. This role will require work onsite at God’s Love We Deliver. The Seasonal (Temporary) Fulfillment and Event Specialist is responsible for managing the God’s Love catalog fulfillment process: high volume seasonal orders of holiday cards, cookies, brownies and other gift items.
The Human Resources Generalist will be part of a full-service Human Resources team working together in managing HR needs across the employment life cycle including recruitment, benefits administration, HRIS/payroll data entry and reporting, and employee relations matters. The Human Resources Partner provides day-to-day HR support to all managers and staff.
The External Program Affairs Department establishes partnerships with managed care providers, health systems and community-based organizations in an effort to engage and serve individuals in need of our medically tailored home-delivered meals. The Community Outreach Associate is responsible for conducting outreach and education sessions to cultivate increased participation with community-based organizations, health systems and managed care organizations to facilitate consistent referrals from each.
The Senior Accountant assists in the completion of the monthly and annual close; prepares and reviews journal entries, monthly account analyses and reconciliations of assigned balance sheet accounts and year end audit work papers. This Senior Accountant works with and supports the Chief Financial Officer in developing, implementing, and providing ongoing financial oversight, ensuring the appropriate use and accurate reporting of all financial transactions.
The Volunteer Engagement Coordinator – Special Projects is responsible for recruiting, training, managing, and recognizing the efforts of volunteers for major projects at God’s Love We Deliver. Projects include the New York City Wine & Food Festival (NYCWFF), Thanksgiving Day, basket day, winter emergency meals, summer emergency meals, client mailing, and anything assigned by the Director of Volunteer Services.
The Policy & Planning Associate collaborates with the Senior Director of Policy & Planning on agency-wide policy and advocacy projects. The position is also responsible for the administrative side of applications and reporting for the agency’s major public grants. The position collaborates with the Communication team on policy communications for the agency and assists the Senior Director of Policy & Planning and the President & CEO with the administration of the national coalition, the Food Is Medicine Coalition.
We seek a Bilingual Client Services Specialist to join our Client Services Team to help bring our life-changing program to more New Yorkers. The Client Services Specialist is the first point of contact for anyone wishing to enroll in our meal-delivery program, and supports client engagement efforts with compassion and care. This role requires someone to communicate fluently in Spanish and English. The Program Services Department, which is made up of the Client Services, Healthcare Partners, and Nutrition teams, acts as the liaison between the organization and its clients. As the first point of contact for new clients and ongoing support for current clients, the department conducts intake, facilitates nutrition assessments and counseling, manages client inquiries by phone or mail, maintains client records, and more.
We seek a Driver to ensure the efficient and safe delivery of meals to the door of our clients, and to act as a public face of God’s Love in a compassionate, courteous and professional manner. Our Drivers make up to sixty (60) delivery stops per day, Monday through Friday, and are a core partof our Delivery team.
