Prospect Management and Research Associate

The Prospect Management & Research Associate will serve as a strategic partner to frontline fundraisers and organizational leadership by identifying new philanthropic prospects, supporting donor engagement strategy, maintaining accurate CRM data, and helping ensure portfolios and fundraising opportunities are actively managed and aligned with organizational priorities. 

This role will also support the organization’s focus on acquisition, helping identify and bring new people into our mission while strengthening systems that deepen relationships with existing donors, partners, volunteers, and prospects.

Key Responsibilities:

Prospect Research & Donor Intelligence 

  • Conduct prospect research and wealth screening to identify and evaluate individual, corporate, foundation, and institutional giving prospects  
  • Develop donor profiles, executive briefings, research reports, and prospect strategy materials for Philanthropy leadership and organizational stakeholders  
  • Support prospecting efforts tied to major gifts, institutional giving, corporate partnerships, campaigns, and special initiatives  
  • Monitor donor engagement activity, giving trends, and relationship opportunities across portfolios  
  • Maintain research resources and serve as an internal partner for prospect intelligence and fundraising insights  
  • Handle sensitive donor information with discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality  

 

Portfolio & Pipeline Management 

  • Support portfolio management processes for frontline fundraisers and Philanthropy leadership  
  • Assist with portfolio reviews, prospect assignments, moves management tracking, and donor qualification processes  
  • Monitor pipeline activity and help identify opportunities for donor re-engagement, cultivation, and stewardship  
  • Produce reports and dashboards that support fundraising strategy, portfolio health, and revenue forecasting  
  • Help ensure donor records, engagement tracking, and relationship notes remain accurate and current within the CRM  

Data, Systems & Operations 

  • Support CRM data integrity efforts, reporting standards, and SOP documentation  
  • Assist in the development of donor segmentation strategies and fundraising analytics  
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Philanthropy, Finance, Marketing & Communications, Volunteer Services, and Events teams as needed  

Strategic Support 

  • Support acquisition and relationship-deepening strategies by identifying new prospects, surfacing engagement opportunities, and helping move individuals and partners through the donor pipeline with clear next steps and coordinated follow-up. 
  • Support donor strategy meetings and campaign planning through research and pipeline insights  
  • Assist with preparation for executive meetings, donor visits, cultivation events, and Board engagement opportunities  
  • Help identify emerging funding opportunities aligned with organizational priorities and strategic initiatives  

Team & Organizational Representation 

This role is an active member of the Philanthropy team and may occasionally participate in donor events, cultivation opportunities, Board engagement activities, and public-facing organizational events. Some evening or weekend work may be required.

God’s Love We Deliver seeks a highly collaborative, detail-oriented, and analytically minded Prospect Management & Research Associate to support the growth and effectiveness of the Philanthropy team. 

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting data, relationship strategy, systems, and storytelling to support fundraising growth and operational excellence. 

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications 

  • 2–5 years of experience in prospect research, fundraising operations, development services, institutional giving, nonprofit administration, or related fields  
  • Experience working with CRM platforms such as Raiser’s Edge NXT, Salesforce, or similar donor databases  
  • Strong research, analytical, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail  
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into concise and actionable insights  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills  
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and reporting tools  
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion  
  • Highly collaborative, proactive, and solutions-oriented approach to work  

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience with prospect research platforms such as iWave, WealthEngine, DonorSearch, Foundation Directory, or similar tools  
  • Experience supporting major gifts, institutional giving, campaigns, or donor engagement strategy  
  • Familiarity with moves management and fundraising pipeline strategy  
  • Experience developing reports, dashboards, and fundraising analytics  
  • Interest in philanthropy operations, systems improvement, and revenue strategy  
  • Experience working within a complex, fast-paced nonprofit environment
