Our Key Facts

  • In 1985, God’s Love We Deliver started as a grassroots organization, when a hospice worker named Ganga Stone began feeding people with HIV/AIDS who did not have the physical strength to shop or cook for themselves.
  • 40 years later, God’s Love has just under 200 employees and relies on 20,000 committed volunteers annually. We serve a daily average of over 15,000 clients, their caregivers, and children affected by life-altering illnesses such as HIV/AIDS, cancer, multiple sclerosis and others. On average, we provide 80,000 meals each week and 4 million meals each year.
  • Because illness can affect a whole family, God’s Love provides meals to our clients’ children, as well as to the caregivers of our clients.
  • God’s Love provides nutritional counseling to its clients and the general public through outreach fairs, nutrition presentations, cooking demonstrations and producing a collection of nutrition publications.
  • Each meal is tailored to the client’s medical needs. The food God’s Love We Deliver provides is nutritious and delicious. It is prepared in our kitchen by our staff and volunteers.
  • All of the food that God’s Love prepares is bought, en masse, and food donated by local vendors, bakeries, and cafes, is donated to our volunteer base and presented to volunteers in the volunteer lounge.
  • All of our services are free to clients and full of love.
  • The symptoms of severe illness and side effects from treatments leave so many unable to care for themselves. As more and more people are left without a support system, the demand for our services has continued to grow.
