Celebrating 40 Years, 40 Million Meals, and a Bold Vision for the Future.

• Shift and streamline 80% of our meal packaging and delivery services to achieve greater operational efficiency and ensure we are equipped to scale operations while maintaining the highest standards of service.
• Sustain our meal production capacity, through enhanced storage capabilities, with 7,000 square feet of much-needed freezer and cooler space to ensure efficient operations and allow us to deliver up to 6.5 million meals annually (a 50%+ increase from the 4 million meals delivered last year.)
• Create more volunteer engagement opportunities, allowing thousands of new volunteers to support and enhance our mission.
• Provide overnight parking for 20 refrigerated vans, reducing parking costs and congestion pricing for van deliveries through our Michael Kors Building in SoHo – and significantly improving delivery efficiency across all five boroughs and beyond.   
• Establish a strong foundation that not only supports our immediate needs but also positions us to expand into adjacent square footage, providing flexibility to scale our operations and amplify our impact for years to come.

The Need is Greater Than Ever

After a comprehensive multi-year review of potential locations, Liberty BKLYN emerged as the ideal choice for our existing needs and future goals. We’re happy to announce that we signed a lease on December 31, 2024, and Phase One of site construction is now nearly complete – with a formal ‘ribbon-cutting’ opening in January 2026. Thanks to the generosity of our community, we’ve already secured $23.5 million toward our $40 million goal. As we celebrate our past, we’re also excited to encourage you to help us build our future.

Every day, thousands of New Yorkers rely on medically tailored meals to manage their illnesses and improve their quality of life. We provide all our clients with life-sustaining and life-affirming services at no charge. Demand for our services continues to grow:

• 80,000 meals per week, supporting individuals in need across the New York metro area.
• 15,000 clients served annually, all of whom are affected by severe and chronic illnesses.
• Proximity to our clients: Expanding to Brooklyn is significant—most of our clients (26%) reside in the borough. With 23% residing in the Bronx and 20% in Queens, access to other outer boroughs from Brooklyn will help ensure we’re able to sustainably serve the community beyond just our SoHo location.

Liberty BKLYN is a 1.3 million-square-foot, Class A mixed-use facility located on the Sunset Park waterfront. Originally built for the United States Navy in 1918, Liberty Bklyn has undergone an extensive, complete building renovation, with over $150 million invested in improvements. Units available range from 10,000 SF to full floors of 183,000 SF for both industrial and office users. The building features a 3.2-acre Brooklyn Grange rooftop farm, a 386-spot parking lot, a 60,000-square-foot ground-floor loading zone with 17 loading docks and 3 drive-in doors, 18 elevators, reinforced floor loads ranging from 200 to 500 pounds per square foot, new energy-efficient windows, new electrical and HVAC systems, a backup generator and superior infrastructure. With considerable amenities including world-class retail and a prime waterfront location in Sunset Park, a neighborhood that has become a major hub for technology, logistics and other industrial and commercial uses, the building provides tangible benefits to companies seeking high-quality space at a competitive price-point.
