God’s Love We Deliver, a nonsectarian organization, is the New York metropolitan area’s leading provider of life-sustaining meals and nutrition counseling for people living with severe illnesses. Begun as an HIV/AIDS service organization, today God’s Love provides for people living with more than 200 individual diagnoses. God’s Love cooks and home delivers the specific, nutritious meals a client’s severe illness and treatment so urgently require. Meals are individually tailored for each client by one of our Registered Dietitians, and all clients have access to unlimited nutrition counseling. God’s Love supports families by providing meals for the children and senior caregivers of its clients. All of the agency’s services are provided free of charge.
About the Role
The Dispatch Associate supports God’s Love Delivery Operations in tracking and delivery logistics. This position includes tracking of all deliveries and routes from start to finish via phone and GPS tracking software. The Dispatch Associate supports delivery logistics, helping to identify and solve any issues with the drivers while out in the field. The Dispatch Associate works with and assists volunteers with the delivery of client meals. The Dispatch Associate also assembles and distributes all driver route paperwork daily.

- This position requires onsite work.
- This is a Full-Time exempt position, paying $58,500 annually.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Tracks delivery drivers throughout the day and assists with directions as needed.
- Enters instructions and any issues in database system.
- Tracks and reports status of Fed Ex deliveries daily.
- Maintains communication with NMDC centers. Tracks, reports, and follows up on NMDC deliveries status daily.
- Updates delivery status updates in database system.
- Communicates via telephone and email with colleagues and clients regarding delivery operations.
- Understands and helps support the basic routing throughout NYC, Westchester, and Jersey City.
- Works with the Delivery Operations team to assist with the driver pack-out.
- Helps to ensure food safety.
- Works with and assists volunteers to ensure delivery safety.
- Acts as back up driver as needed.
- Maintains valid NYS or NJ Driver’s License.

In addition, the right candidate meets the following requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Prior experience working in dispatch. Food industry experience would be a plus.
- Working knowledge of routing software (e.g., Roadnet, Field Service Lightening)
- Working knowledge of tracking software (e.g., Forward Thinking)
- Geographic knowledge of the NY Tri-State Area.
- Maintains valid NYS or NJ Driver’s License.
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively internally and externally.
- Must be flexible; ability to adjust based on departmental needs.
- Ability to demonstrate good judgment.
- Ability to problem-solve and make sound decisions in a timely manner.
- Language Skills – Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
