Join God’s Love We Deliver for AIDS Walk New York on Sunday, May 19!

On Sunday, May 19, join our volunteers, supporters and friends of God’s Love took in Central Park for the AIDS Walk New York. Whether you’re walking, raising funds, or supporting by making a donation, you will make a difference. This year, AIDS Walk New York will be a live, in-person event in Central Park with a streaming element. This will be our twenty-third year participating in the walk and we are grateful to our teammates for fundraising and participating.

Life expectancies for those who receive medical care for HIV/AIDS at a treatable stage face a far better prognosis than thirty years ago. However, there is still much work to be accomplished: 40,000 people are still diagnosed each year, and the incidence of HIV among younger people has shown increased rates. This year, 10% of the people God’s Love We Deliver serve are living with HIV/AIDS.

All funds raised at the AIDS Walk NY will go to support much-needed HIV/AIDS services such as meals and nutrition services provided by God’s Love We Deliver, Gay Men’s Health Crisis, and more than 40 other organizations in the Tri-State area.  Many will walk in memory of those they have lost, or to support friends and family living with HIV/AIDS.
