Accessibility & Volunteer Shifts

Language:
Volunteer orientations can be given in English and in Spanish

Projects:

  • Kitchen projects:  Tasks may include packaging meals, chopping onions, making meatballs, ladling soup, peeling potatoes, scooping baked goods or preparing fresh herbs.
    All projects are done while standing.
  • Client Meal Delivery, paired with a God’s Love We Deliver driver: You will be doing a lot of walking, frequently getting in and out of the van and often lifting and carrying heavy bags of food.
  • Walking Deliveries: Deliver client meals to various areas throughout Manhattan. Volunteers must be able to navigate city blocks, staircases, and carry 30 pounds. Please note mode of transportation such as car service, cab, your own vehicle, walking or subway is at your discretion.
  • Meal packaging: All projects are done while standing.
