17th Annual Midsummer Night Drinks

Three hundred guests attended Saturday night’s 17th Annual Midsummer Night Drinks benefiting God’s Love We Deliver at the waterfront Southampton home of iconic fashion designer Calvin Klein. Guests bid on God’s Love program items such as funding meals for one year for a person living with HIV/AIDS or meals for a mother living with breast cancer and her children for six months. They enjoyed passed hors d’oeuvres and a raw bar by Canard, Inc., along with signature cocktails. Guests also enjoyed miniature versions of dishes straight from the God’s Love Cookbook, which was released last September. These Cookbook dishes included Jennifer Hudson’s Feta-Stuffed Chicken Burgers, Amanda Freitag’s Salmon Filet with Salsa Verde and Farro Salad, David Burtka’s Grilled Rib Eye Skewers with Oven Dried Tomato and Arugula Pesto, Suvir Saran’s Cauliflower Bites with Indian Spiced Tomato Sauce, David Salle’s Fava Bean Puree, Blaine Trump’s Carrot Cake, and Philip Galanes’s Za’tar Flatbread Crisps. God’s Love would like to thank this year’s corporate sponsors Calvin Klein, Inc.; Cadillac; and Tito’s Handmade Vodka. Guests left the beautiful evening with “Chuck’s Famous Brownies,” baked with love by Chuck the Baker, who has been the baker for God’s Love more than 26 years.
