On Sunday, November 18th, God’s Love held its 19th Annual Race to Deliver in Central Park. In the wake of Hurricane Sandy’s destruction, God’s Love delivered 8,000 meals to people displaced by Sandy and 2,300 emergency meal kits called “Sandy Bags” to our clients. Karen Pearl, God’s Love President & CEO, thanked Race participants and supporters, stressing that the Race, which raises funds and awareness for God’s Love, ismore important than ever after Hurricane Sandy, and that the funds raised from the Race will help restock the agency’s shelves. The Race to Deliver symbolizes the daily race to ensure that no one faces the dual crises of hunger and illness. The 19th Annual Race to Deliver was a huge success for God’s Love We Deliver. It was a beautiful morning in Central Park as everyone raced for a wonderful cause!
