On Thursday, September 28, God’s Love marked an important milestone as we cooked, packed and delivered our 20 millionth meal.
We are so proud of this achievement. A lot has changed since that day, 32 years ago, when one woman on a bicycle delivered a meal to a friend dying of AIDS. Today, our expanded SoHo headquarters allows us to cook and deliver more than 1.7 million meals annually to thousands of clients. We have broadened our mission to serve those living with more than 200 unique diagnoses.
But one thing has remained constant — our commitment to providing individually tailored, nutritious meals to the most vulnerable among us, free of charge, without a waiting list, and most importantly, with love. Because we believe that food is love and food is medicine.
On behalf of our staff, volunteers, and especially our clients, thank you to everyone who has supported God’s Love over the past 32 years. Because of you, we have been able to deliver 20 million nutritious, life-saving meals to thousands of our neighbors living with severe illness. I hope you will join us as we embark on the journey to 20 million more.
