7th Annual Golden Heart Awards

More than 700 guests attended the Seventh Annual Golden Heart Awards on Wednesday, October 16, making it the most successful event in our 28-year history! Former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton was presented with the first-ever Michael Kors Award for Outstanding Community Service by Michael Kors and Anna Wintour. Upon receiving her award, Clinton spoke about the unique quality of Americans to solve problems as a community and the increased importance of giving in this time of economic uncertainty, exactly like God’s Love does as she commented. Iman presented the Golden Heart Awards for Lifetime Achievement to Aerin Lauder. Aerin shared the moving story of her volunteer experience with God’s Love, delivering to our client, Natalie. Karen Pearl presented Jeff Gates and Mike Moran with the Golden Heart Award for Outstanding Volunteerism. Jeff and Mike both spoke about the importance of community and how much God’s Love means to them. It was a beautiful night…a night full of golden hearts!
