A Table Forward: An Evening of Food, Purpose, and Community

On Monday evening, friends of God’s Love We Deliver gathered high above Manhattan at Bank of America Tower for A Table Forward, an intimate evening celebrating the power of food, partnership, and community. Hosted by our longtime partner Bank of America, the event brought together GLWD supporters, Bank of America clients and staff, and advocates for a memorable night of conversation and connection.

The evening began with welcoming remarks from Board Member Melba Wilson, who reflected on the transformative impact of partnerships in advancing God’s Love We Deliver’s mission. Melba recognized Bank of America’s extraordinary support over the past decade, including its leadership role in our 40 FORWARD capital campaign and its commitment to volunteer service. Earlier this year, God’s Love We Deliver and Bank of America were honored as finalists for the Partnership Impact Award through the New York City Service Awards, recognizing collaborations that create meaningful and lasting impact throughout New York City.

Following Melba’s remarks, Connie Verducci, Market Executive and Senior Vice President at Bank of America, welcomed guests on behalf of the Bank and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to God’s Love We Deliver’s mission. In a special moment during the evening, Connie announced a new $250,000 commitment to our 40 FORWARD campaign, building upon Bank of America’s existing $500,000 gift and bringing the firm’s total campaign support to $750,000. We are deeply grateful for Bank of America’s incredible generosity, leadership, and decade-long belief in our mission.

A highlight of the evening was an extraordinary dinner prepared by Chef Pierre Magnolini, who generously donated his time and talent in support of God’s Love We Deliver. Drawing from a culinary journey that includes some of the world’s most acclaimed kitchens, Chef Pierre created a menu inspired by French tradition and elevated hospitality. The experience was made possible with the support of our remarkable partners and sponsors, including Resident, Sotol Romo, Bricoleur Vineyards, and Pearle Caviar, each of whom helped create a dining experience that reflected the spirit of generosity at the heart of the evening.

As guests enjoyed dessert, President & CEO Terrence Meck shared an update on 40 FORWARD, our $40 million campaign celebrating 40 years of service and the delivery of our 40 millionth meal. He highlighted the impact of our new Liberty BKLYN meal distribution center and the opportunity it creates to increase capacity from 4 million to 6.5 million medically tailored meals annually, allowing us to reach thousands more New Yorkers living with life-altering illness. Most importantly, the evening served as a reminder that every meal, every volunteer, and every partnership helps move our mission forward.

As we look to the future, we invite you to be part of the next chapter of God’s Love We Deliver. Through 40 FORWARD, we are building the infrastructure needed to meet growing demand and ensure that no New Yorker living with illness goes without the nourishment they need. To learn more about the campaign, schedule a visit to our new Brooklyn Meal Distribution Center, explore volunteer opportunities, or make a gift in support of this transformative effort, visit glwd.org/40FORWARD. Together, we can help deliver more meals, reach more neighbors, and strengthen our community for decades to come.
