God’s Love as a Place of Honor
When Ed Gordon retired in 2017, he sought a local volunteer opportunity where he could honor the important people in his life. He came to God’s Love We Deliver for his next beginning.

Every year we are thrilled to throw our volunteer party celebrating the enormous and unparalleled contributions of our volunteers. After surveying our volunteers about this annual God’s Love Volunteer Party, we made major changes and held our first-ever Volunteer Soiree! Thank you to American Express for their generous support of our Volunteer Soiree.
The Soirée was held at God’s Love where we hosted a baking demonstration with Chef Amanda Freitag, cookbook author, and Food Network star, along with Steven Marion, our Director of Volunteer Services and Special Events. We had cocktail demonstrations by Tito’s Handmade Vodka, as well as a spa setup from Kiehl’s. Great prizes were raffled off from groups who volunteer with us, including Lo & Sons, Two Ten Footwear, De Gustibus, SoulCycle, and Sir Kensington’s. Finally, we had great dancing to music by DJ Rumor. We hope everyone who joined us had a wonderful time.
We are very lucky to have such a wonderful team of dedicated volunteers who support us all year long. It is because of each and every one of you that we can serve those who are unable to shop and cook for themselves. Whether you are a weekly volunteer or first-timer, all of your time is valued and important to the success of our programs. Thank you.

Over the years, Mark has brought more than 30 volunteers to GLWD, including his husband, friends and coworkers. As much as Mark feels his work for the organization is about giving, he also believes he gets much back.
Andy holds us close to his heart, even when his travels take him far. We thank Andy for his more than 20 years of volunteerism!
