Celebrating Support from New York City Council

We are thrilled to share that God’s Love We Deliver has been awarded Discretionary Funding from the New York City Council for Fiscal Year 2025. This significant support will enable us to achieve our goal of delivering more than 4.9 million medically tailored, home-delivered meals to more than 16,000 New Yorkers living with severe and chronic illnesses in the coming year.

Our team worked diligently to share our mission with City Council Members, highlighting our presence in nearly every ZIP code across New York City. We emphasized how God’s Love is a vital lifeline in their communities, providing critical nutrition support for those too sick to shop or cook for themselves.

In addition to Discretionary Funding, we are grateful to have received Capital Funding from Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine. This contribution will support the purchase of two new delivery vans, further enhancing our capacity to deliver meals to clients in need throughout Manhattan.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the entire New York City Council, and special thanks particularly to Speaker Adrienne Adams and Council Members Carlina Rivera, Keith Powers, Althea Stevens, Shaun Abreu, Sandy Nurse, and Christopher Marte, for their unwavering support and specific funding designations. We also express our gratitude to Borough President Mark Levine for his commitment to our clients and our cause. Their generous contributions and shared dedication to improving the lives of vulnerable New Yorkers make our work possible.

At God’s Love, we believe that being sick and hungry is a crisis that demands an urgent response. With the support of our local leaders, volunteers, donors, and other partners, we are making a real difference in the lives of our clients, ensuring that no one faces illness and hunger alone. We look forward to continuing our vital work in the year ahead, empowered by this generous support from our City leaders.
