Celebrating Women’s History Month 2024

Today, the God’s Love team celebrated Women’s History Month with a panel discussion focused on Women’s Health including maternal health, reproductive health, and health disparities based on race and gender.

The panel featured:

• Dr. Robin Ortiz, a pediatrics physician and researcher focused on the association of early childhood adversity with later life chronic disease outcomes.

• Amanda Phi, Women’s Health Specialist at the NYC Department of Health and leads community engagement coalitions focused on making sure all New Yorkers know their HIV status and are connected to care and prevention services.

• Dr. Judith Zelikoff, toxicologist and professor of medicine at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, who studies the effects of inhaled toxicants on immune system function and the reproductive process.

Our panel members discussed the historical challenges of women entering the STEM field, their projects around public health, and women who have inspired them to become the leaders they are today!

Thank you to the Staff DEIA Committee and the Women’s History Month Planning Committee, led by team members Caroline Rylant, Jennifer Davidson, Kelly Naranjo, and Leslie Puebla for organizing this meaningful day!
