God’s Love We Deliver continues to strive for policy changes in healthcare to incorporate our medically tailored meals and nutritional support into partnerships that seek to address the social determinants of health. This year, we have continued to see our Community Partners Program, which is reimbursed through contracts with Managed Long-Term Care and Mainstream Medicaid plans continue to grow. Through those relationships we continue to find new opportunities to partner with managed care organizations and clinical healthcare providers.
In August, God’s Love We Deliver started a partnership with United Healthcare to see how providing medically tailored meals can help their members demonstrate positive health outcomes that include lower hospitalizations and better adherence to medications. This partnership builds on the ones we already have in place with Healthcare Partners IPA, MetroPlus and Senior Whole Health.
Our goal is to continue to seek exciting opportunities to partner with insurers, community based organizations providing clinical care and hospital systems to serve those living with serious, life-altering illnesses throughout the city.
