Chief Business Development Officer Dorella Walters, MPA

Dorella is focused on supporting the organization’s delivery of more than 3.6 million nutritious, medically tailored, high-quality meals to more than 12,600 individuals affected by HIV/AIDS, cancer and other life-altering illnesses in New York City and its surrounding counties.

In this role, she is responsible for reaching more than 7,000 new clients a year and for helping God’s Love to identify, prospect, and navigate new business opportunities and maintain community relationships. These efforts include expanding the organization’s visibility regarding the impact of medically tailored home-delivered meals on healthcare costs and health outcomes, resulting in new partnerships that build varied and sustainable revenue streams for the agency.

Dorella has held various leadership positions in her tenure at God’s Love that has given her a unique insight into the clients and communities that we serve. Under her leadership, the organization has seen significant growth in our business line by establishing and maintaining healthcare contracts with managed care organizations, hospital systems, accountable care organizations and other community-based agencies. Prior to this role, Ms. Walters served as the Senior Director for Program Services where she was responsible for planning and designing the department’s response to agency goals around mission expansion, client growth and client retention.

Chief Program Officer Kate Janeski, MSW

For nearly 20 years, Kate has worked in various roles to support people in equitably accessing the resources that they need, including as a senior leader in a New York City government agency, a private consultant, and non-profit director. As a public servant, Kate led operations, programs, and data & reporting for the public workforce development system that included up to 20 brick and mortar centers, an annual budget of $25M, and served 125,000 people per year. Kate is a graduate of the Columbia University School of Social Work and received a certificate in Executive Leadership from Cornell University.

Kate was the Senior Director of Program Services for God’s Love We Deliver before joining the Executive Team as Chief Program Officer. In the Senior Director role, she led the development, implementation, and management of client programming and services. She was responsible for teams that act as the primary liaisons between the organization and clients, including the Client Services, Healthcare Partners, Nutrition Services, and Research & Evaluation groups. Under Kate’s leadership, these teams have grown the number of clients served per year by nearly 70% and delivered exceptional service resulting in a 70% increase in revenue from healthcare partners, while also innovating programs through the launch of services for pregnant people diagnosed with gestational diabetes, people with mental health conditions, and healthcare patients moving from hospital to home. The Program Services teams are the first to establish the organization’s second location in the Northern Dispensary building in the West Village of New York City.
