On Thursday evening, January 30, the Legacy Society of God’s Love We Deliver was delighted to host Simon Doonan, as he presented highlights from his book, Drag: The Complete Story. Simon Doonan, a writer, bon-vivant, window dresser, fashion commentator, has worked in fashion for over 35 years. The evening opened with remarks by Karen Pearl, President & CEO of God’s Love We Deliver, followed by the inimitable Joey Arias, multi-talented cabaret artist, drag queen, who introduced Simon Doonan. Joe’s Pub was filled with uproarious laughter as Simon took us through a journey of Drag: The Good, The Bad, & The Horrifying.
