This summer, God’s Love held a 3-day Accelerator to support the development of medically tailored meal programs at nonprofits across the country.
Throughout the program, we had experts from every department give our guests a glimpse into what how we operate. From shadowing our staff during the intake process to seeing how we scale recipes in our kitchen, our partners from around the country left with invaluable insight into how we serve 10,000 meals a day. During our Ask the Experts sessions, participants were able to ask burning questions to staff members from various departments. Representatives from Fidelis, NYC Health + Hospitals, and Public Health Solutions discussed the process of medical referrals and why they refer clients to our meal program. This gave participants a greater understanding of how to engage successfully with health plans in securing healthcare contracts.
We also heard from our year one cohort programs, who graduated from the Accelerator last year, how their start-up of MTM programs has been going. One the last day, we ended the Accelerator with a graduation ceremony where cohort members walked the floor to receive their certificates of completion. Thank you to our partners and every member of the God’s Love staff who made this Accelerator an absolute success.
