God’s Love Goes to Palm Beach & Vero Beach

While God’s Love has deep roots in New York City, our community extends far beyond the five boroughs. Last week, God’s Love staff visited our devoted supporters in Palm Beach, Florida to provide an update on our programming.

Thank you to Scott Durkin, God’s Love Board Member and CEO of Douglas Elliman, for hosting a lunch at Le Bilboquet for friends and colleagues to bring awareness to the need for medically tailored, nutritious meals for people who are too sick to shop or cook for themselves.

On Friday, we spent the afternoon at Henry’s at the Breakers with our donors who live in Florida but continue to support New Yorkers living with illness from afar. After lunch, the team visited Saks Fifth Avenue to meet shoppers participating in a 3-day sales event where a percentage of proceeds were donated to God’s Love.

We closed out the week at the beautiful home of Sam and Dena Lombardo in Vero Beach. During their housewarming party, Sam and Dena announced a generous donation to God’s Love.

While we enjoyed the sunny Florida weather, having the opportunity to connect with our supporters was undoubtedly the highlight!
