Today is our 40th birthday! We’re celebrating 40 years of nourishing our neighbors who are affected by illness, and 40 years of making a real difference in the lives of those who are sick and have nowhere else to turn. Beginning with one meal delivered on a bicycle to a man living with HIV/AIDS, we now deliver millions of meals annually for New Yorkers living with HIV, cancer, heart disease, and other illnesses. We have been Nourishing New York since 1985 and, with all of you, we have so much more to do in the next 40 years and beyond.
Since our founding forty years ago, God’s Love We Deliver has baked and personalized cakes for our clients and their children and caregivers on their birthday.
They say that “life begins at 40.” With new programs, an amazing (and growing) team of staff and volunteers, and so much innovation and growth occurring daily, I see God’s Love entering our next era of responding to our clients’ needs and renewing our commitment to delivering meals, nourishment, and love for our clients and their families.
In the months to come, God’s Love will be sharing stories of how the organization has transformed the lives of countless New Yorkers—clients, volunteers, staff members, and important friends like you—as we celebrate this remarkable milestone.
