It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of a beloved member of our volunteer family, Allan Sih. Allan became involved with God’s Love We Deliver in 2001, through our partnership with New York Cares. As a frequent team leader, he has dedicated countless hours of service to our organization, as well as many other non-profits in the city such as BARC, PS 150Q and Village Temple Meal Service. Allan’s passion for volunteerism and commitment to making a difference in his community was evident within minutes of meeting him. His warm and friendly demeanor immediately put volunteers at ease and his level of organization made working with him a pleasure. Whether he was working in the kitchen, packaging Thanksgiving baskets or cheering on walkers at the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer, Allan exemplified a true volunteer. He will be truly missed.
