On Wednesday, October 1, we launched October with a kitchen visit from the Wassner Twins. Both Laurel and Rebeccah are professional triathletes who live in New York City. Rebeccah is a three-time winner of the Nautica New York City Triathlon. Laurel is the first cancer-survivor-turned-professional triathlete. In 2010, she took second in the Nautica New York City Triathlon, finishing just two minutes behind Rebeccah. In June, Laurel became the first cancer survivor to win an Ironman!

The Wassner twins are great inspirations for many reasons. Not only do they take on over 20 races a year, but they also write a food blog, give back to their community and they’re advocates in the fight against cancer. This year, Laurel and Rebeccah will join us at the 21st Annual Race to Deliver, and we’re excited to have their athleticism and spirit at our Race!

So come on out to the Race to Deliver to cheer the Wassner twins on and support God’s Love!
