This summer, I had the privilege of sharing my story with journalist Katie Couric — a story of love, loss, and the healing power of food. Seventeen years ago, during my husband Rand’s final months following a devastating diagnosis, a health-supportive chef gave us more than just meals. She gave us time together, moments of peace, and a sense of dignity. That experience changed my life and ultimately brought me to God’s Love We Deliver.
Today, as President & CEO of this great institution, I’m honored to lead an organization that prepares and delivers the same care and medically tailored meals — free of charge — to thousands of New Yorkers living with severe illness.
Currently, more of our neighbors are at risk of going without the nutrition they need to survive. Demand for our services continues to grow, while public resources and support systems are increasingly strained.
This is a critical moment. And we need everyone. Whether you choose to donate, volunteer, or simply share our mission with others, you’ll be helping us deliver stability, compassion, and dignity — one meal at a time.
