Leadership Transition: Thanking David Ludwigson and Welcoming Terrence Meck

Dear Community,

David Ludwigson recently let us know he would be stepping down as President & CEO of God’s Love We Deliver. This past Monday, Terrence Meck was named our sixth President & CEO in the organization’s 40-year history.

David shares the following:

“Working at God’s Love We Deliver has been an incredible privilege and I am sincerely thankful to every single person who participates in our life-saving work. I will be forever grateful for the opportunity to have worked side by side with such dedicated and selfless people.”

Terrence has been part of the God’s Love We Deliver community for more than 15 years. He was most recently our Chief Strategy & Growth Officer. He joined our Board in 2011 and served as Board Chair from 2019 to 2023. During Terrence’s tenure as Board Chair, God’s Love We Deliver moved into the Michael Kors Building, grew our food is medicine advocacy work, and successfully navigated the COVID pandemic.

With a laser focus on the needs of our clients and their families, Terrence’s leadership and generosity are well known to our staff, volunteers, donors, partners, and Volunteer Leadership who, together, make all the work we do possible.

For the past 16 years, Terrence has served as the Co-Founder and President of The Palette Fund, a private foundation dedicated to advancing social change in under-resourced communities. With a focus on food is medicine in the early stages of our now national movement, The Palette Fund’s very first multi-year grant went to the God’s Love Nutrition Department.

Terrence tells us:

“I am honored to serve as the next President & CEO of God’s Love We Deliver and thank David Ludwigson for his nearly three decades of dedication and service. I have been invested in the life-saving work of God’s Love We Deliver since I first volunteered in the kitchen more than 15 years ago. Alongside our hardworking and compassionate team, I am excited to help lead us through this next chapter in the God’s Love We Deliver story.”

Please join us in thanking David Ludwigson for his many years of service at God’s Love We Deliver and welcoming Terrence as he takes on this new role, working shoulder to shoulder with us in our life-affirming work.

With gratitude,
Your friends at God’s Love We Deliver
