NY1’s Roger Clark visits God’s Love to stir the Winter Feast Corn Chowder and talk Celebrate with a Plate

In the midst of Winter Feast production, Roger Clark, of NY1, visited the God’s Love kitchen to share with New York City what happens here during the holidays. Staff and volunteers were thrilled to have this famous reporter, and good friend of the organization, back in our kitchen sharing our work.

Roger interviewed Chef Andre, President & CEO Karen Pearl, volunteer Evan Schwartz and Chef Herminio (in Spanish). He tried his hand at stirring our beloved Roasted Corn Chowder, and he told New Yorkers at 6:50 AM, 7:50 AM and 8:50 AM about the urgent need to support our Celebrate with Plate campaign. Over the course of the day, Roger inspired viewers to donate over $2,000 and an anonymous donor was so impressed that she pledged to double the donations. How’s that for winter spirit!
