Traveling 4,668 Miles to Volunteer

Meet Olga, our  volunteer from Russia who has been volunteering with God’s Love for the past few weeks. Two years ago she was volunteering here in the City at the World Stamp Show (the United States’ once-a-decade international celebration of stamp collecting), and started looking for other places to volunteer that would use her cooking skills. She discovered God’s Love. When she returned to Russia, she vowed to come back to the States and spend a month volunteering with us.

Fast forward two years later, and here she is! In her tenure at God’s Love, Olga has kitted meals, worked in the kitchen, sorted 1416 pencils for our Crafting Love program, and more! There’s no job to big or too small for Olga, and we’re so honored that she traveled across the world to support our clients and mission.

When asked “Why do you choose to volunteer at God’s Love every day?” Olga says, “I love chopping, dicing, slicing, cooking, organizing, everything!” Sounds like we are a good fit!

Olga has already accumulated more than 100 hours of volunteer service in a short amount of time. She tells us, “Thank you guys for the opportunity to volunteer here. I love it! And a special thank you to Cozzini knives for being so sharp!”

Well, thank you, Olga, for volunteering here! We love you!
