Powering Client Growth with Community Project Funding
We are thrilled to announce that God’s Love We Deliver has received Community Project Funding in the recently passed Omnibus Appropriations Bill for Fiscal Year 2022. This new Community Project Funding initiative allows individual Members of Congress to request that federal funds go towards projects and programs that will address the needs facing the communities they represent.
We were grateful to our longtime champion Congressman Jerrold Nadler who included our request in the House Bill and to Senators Schumer and Gillibrand for their support on the Senate side.
The Community Project Funding God’s Love We Deliver received is essential as our organization looks toward the future. We are thrilled to announce that we will be using this funding to refurbish our critical data infrastructure to keep us delivering on our promise of Food is Medicine for the most vulnerable individuals in New York City.
This funding will help us accomplish the following:
- Faster, more efficient enrollment of referred clients into meal programs.
- A better client experience, by allowing direct communication and new features including real time translations and assistance for those with impaired vision and hearing.
- Improved long-term sustainability of our program.
- Enhanced data security for the necessary exchange of protected health information.
