Today, God’s Love We Deliver closed the week by ringing the Opening Bell® [EF1] of the New York Stock Exchange! At the podium, President & CEO Terrence Meck rang the bell alongside our Executive team, Board Co-Chair Claudia Wagner, Board member Melba Wilson, and staff. We thank Joe Benarroch, Head of Content, Media Partnerships, and Distribution at NYSE for joyfully ringing the bell with us. Together, we celebrated our more than 40 million meals delivered in our nearly 40-year history.
Terrence shared:
“God’s Love has been around since 1985, beginning with one woman who delivered a meal to her friend dying of AIDS. It’s unbelievable what we’ve done for 40 years, and the pure joy that resonates out of God’s Love every day was felt on this floor.”
The NYSE bell ringing is a wonderful opportunity for God’s Love to raise visibility in our City and the country for our mission.
We work hard every day and do what we do because we know medically tailored meals work. Through years of dedication and research, we know our clients are 70% less likely to return to the ER and 50% less likely to be admitted. We’ve seen 60% net-savings for people receiving medically tailored meals. These numbers are huge and what we do works. We have always known that food is love, but we’ve now proven that food is truly medicine.
Thank you to everyone who tuned in!
