September 11 marks a day of remembrance. Our thoughts are with all those who lost loved ones on September 11, 2001.
September 11 is also the National Day of Service and Remembrance and we give thanks to all of our volunteers who give back to our community. We continue to remember those lost in the tragedy of that day in 2001. God’s Love played a key role during the days after when we served as a place of respite for first responders, giving them food and shelter as they worked at Ground Zero. We were proud to restart our services as soon as vans were allowed on the roads. God’s Love was then and will always be there for those who count on us.
We know that on September 11, thousands of people all across the country are working together to give back to their communities in honor and remembrance of the historic day. Thank you to Miss Universe, Miss Teen USA and Chef Amanda Freitag who joined us on this historic day. Thank you to all those who are here today and who serve at God’s Love all year round, helping us cook and deliver nutritious meals to our neighbors living with severe illness.
Thank you all for making God’s Love such a caring and loving organization.
