Kofi Burbridge was a talented keyboard and flute player, composer, arranger, two-time Grammy winner, and member of TTB admired by audiences, bandmates, and musicians alike. On what would have been Kofi’s 61st birthday, fans, relatives, and members of TTB all volunteered at nonprofits across eight cities to keep his spirit alive. They spent the afternoon volunteering in Meal Packaging where they ensured over 1,200 medically tailored meals were sorted and packaged for the correct clients. The energy in the room was electric as music filled the air and TTB fans gathered around their love of the band and to honor Kofi’s legacy. Although many came as strangers, they all left as friends.
In a special moment, Greg Williamson, Producer and Co-Founder of Love Rocks NYC, stopped by to thank Susan Tedeschi and the volunteers for supporting God’s Love throughout the years. We are sending so much gratitude to Susan and this hard-working group for choosing God’s Love and allowing us to be part of this nationwide day of service. After the shift, Susan Tedeschi took a moment to thank everyone for caring enough to come together and support God’s Love.
We wish Susan and the entire band lots of success as they begin their annual 7-night residency at the Beacon Theatre.
