God’s Love We Deliver is proud to celebrate President & CEO Terrence Meck’s inclusion on the 2026 TIME100 Most Influential People in Philanthropy, a recognition that reflects not only his extraordinary commitment to service, but also the growing national recognition of our mission and the transformative power of food as medicine.
Terrence’s leadership at God’s Love is deeply personal and rooted in the simple belief that no person should face illness alone. After losing his husband, Rand, to pancreatic cancer in 2008, he experienced firsthand the profound role that nourishing food and compassionate care can play during serious illness.
That loss sparked a lifelong commitment to philanthropy and a deep belief in the power of food as medicine, and food as love. Through launching The Palette Fund, Terrence also found God’s Love We Deliver — first as a volunteer and donor, then as a Board member and Board Chair, and ultimately as our sixth President & CEO.
Terrence’s inclusion on the TIME100 Most Influential People in Philanthropy is not simply a recognition of one individual. It is a recognition of the extraordinary movement that all of you have helped build over the past four decades — one rooted in the belief that every person deserves dignity, nourishment, and love.
As Terrence said,
“Looking back, I can see how every part of my life, even profound loss, ultimately guided me to this work. I feel incredibly grateful to be exactly where I am supposed to be, alongside the God’s Love We Deliver community.”
We are thrilled to see Terrence honored in this way, and even more grateful to have his vision, heart, and leadership guiding God’s Love We Deliver into its next chapter.
