Students at Transfiguration School Raise $7,339 in Lenten Donations for God’s Love

We are thrilled to announce that God’s Love received $7,339 collected by Transfiguration School students during the Lenten Season.

This year, the faculty of the 450-student school selected a non-profit organization to support throughout the school year with funds collected from parents during school Christmas pageants, recitals, school-wide gatherings, and from students during Lent. This year, the students broke their own record, raising over $7,000 to provide 700 meals for the clients of God’s Love We Deliver.

Our President & CEO Karen Pearl says,

“We are most grateful to the students and faculty at Transfiguration School for their generosity. We’re honored to have such a motivated group of young people care so much for our clients and work so hard to support our mission.”

To recognize this accomplishment and donation, five students from the school and their parents visited God’s Love We Deliver to tour the organization’s rooftop herb garden and 10,000 sq. ft. kitchen. The students then presented Ms. Pearl with their donation.

To get the young people in your school or community involved in the Young Hearts program with God’s Love, please email volunteer@glwd.org and find out more at godslovewedeliver.org.
