Many things get their start in the God’s Love kitchen — meals, birthday cakes, and many friendships. To that list, we can now add “the China book.”

Here’s the backstory: kitchen volunteer Rich Bradspies was about to retire as the top American at Bank of China, while co-volunteer J.D. “Jim” Fox had just published his first novel.

The co-volunteers started talking while chopping vegetables, and eventually had a “This Could Be a Funny Book!” moment. “Never Try to Drink a Chinese Woman Under the Table (Plus Other Fun and Practical Tips for Doing Business in China and at Home)” is now available on Amazon and in bookstores.

“Without God’s Love, I wouldn’t have met some of the most interesting people I know,” said Fox. “Including my co-author.”
