Dear Community,

Our hearts have been so heavy this week. All of us at God’s Love mourn the victims of the horrific anti-LGBT attack in Orlando early Sunday morning and send our deepest sympathies to their families and loved ones.

To honor those who lost their lives, God’s Love has flown our Pride flags at half-staff and will do so until sunset today.

Our hearts also go out to those who were wounded in the rampage, to the LGBT community of Orlando and to all those who seek a safe place where they can live and love in peace.

In solidarity and in friendship, today we sent boxes of Chuck the Baker’s cookies and brownies to the Florida LGBT Center and Orlando Regional Medical Center. We will also gather in force at the Pride March on Sunday, June 26, and invite all of you to join with us.

For more than 30 years, God’s Love has been a friend to the LGBT community which has played such a critical role in our history and mission. As staff, volunteers and supporters, we reflect on the impact of this enormous tragedy, and remember that our strength always comes from our diverse community that delivers caring, respect, dignity and love every day. In these difficult times, we stand ever more firmly together, grounded in these enduring values.

Our thoughts and love go out to all in Orlando.
