It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of our former staff member, Jim Konetsky. Jim worked at God’s Love for over 20 years. He was, in fact, our first staff member to hit that special milestone. Jim started at God’s Love as a volunteer in February 1987, and was hired as a staff member one year later. During his long tenure, Jim worked in several Client Services management positions, finishing his time at God’s Love as Senior Administrator of Program Services. Jim always went the distance to make sure our clients were fed the right meals, designed just for them, whether he was counseling them on how to join our program, or home-delivering meals right to their door. His impact on our community will not be forgotten.
Even after Jim left God’s Love, his commitment endured. He participated in the Race to Deliver each year, and was a great fundraiser for us. He came to many other events, and was always warm and engaging. Jim’s heart was bigger than anyone’s. He cared deeply for our clients and his colleagues, and could always be counted on to do whatever needed to get done.
Jim was a great friend, and enriched all of our lives. He will be deeply missed.
