Whoopi Goldberg calls God’s Love a “great organization” and calls on people to volunteer this Thanksgiving

Whoopi Goldberg took a moment on Thursday on The View to praise God’s Love We Deliver and promote becoming one of our wonderful volunteers, and we could not be more grateful.

“Their mission is to improve the health and well-being of people living with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other serious illnesses by alleviating hunger and malnutrition,” Whoopi said. “They prepare and deliver high-quality meals to people who are unable to provide or prepare meals for themselves.”

Speaking to millions of viewers, Whoopi shared our mission of supporting people living with serious illnesses like HIV/AIDS and cancer by providing nutritious, medically tailored meals. She explained that we “prepare and deliver high-quality meals to people who are unable to provide or prepare meals for themselves,” underscoring that no one should have to face illness and hunger at the same time.

Whoopi also lifted up the heart of our work: our volunteers, and encouraged viewers to consider joining us to deliver meals across New York City and beyond. Whoopi said,

“If you all ever think, ‘I would like to help folks deliver to people in need [God’s Love We Deliver] is a great organization to become a part of.”

Her words are especially meaningful as we approach Thanksgiving. While many of us gather with family and friends around holiday tables, a Thanksgiving meal from God’s Love We Deliver, delivered for both our clients and a loved one, is more than food—it is comfort, dignity, and a reminder that they are not alone.

We are deeply thankful to Whoopi for using her platform to share our work and the needs of our clients. If you are inspired by her message, we invite you to get involved this season by volunteering, making a donation, or helping to spread the word. Together, we can ensure that our neighbors living with serious illness receive the meals and the love they deserve, on Thanksgiving and every day.
