For all of us at God’s Love, staff, Board and volunteers, the Race to Deliver in Central Park is a symbolic of our everyday race to deliver healthy, nutritious food to those who are too sick to shop for themselves. Each individual races for a variety of different and important reason. This is a highlight from Jim K., one of our longest employees and most involved fund raisers for the Race.

I race to memorialize and honor the many people I’ve known who were or are clients, and are either gone or unable to run themselves.

I race to demonstrate the intense gratitude that I have for being able to work at God’s Love all these years.

I race to capture the true essence and energy of our original God’s Love mantra that is still strong today: “Service is Joy”!

For all of these meaningful reasons, I Race to Deliver.
